Dear Faculty and Staff, all general interest tutorials have been moved to the HowTo page of this website. This includes our collection of CommonCraft Tutorials “in Plain English.” If you’ve never seen a CommonCraft tutorial before, they are short, entertaining, and very easy to understand video demonstrations of such basics as Blogs and Wikis as well as some of the more sophisticated concepts such as RSS Feeds and Cloud Computing. It also includes all of our Gmail system tutorials as well as tutorials that will demonstrate the basics of using our EBSCO databases.
Any tutorials that pertain exclusively to educators have remained on this page.
We have also posted links to sites of general interest such as Bible Gateway, World Magazine, and a selection of news outlets. One of the news outlets we love is Nuzs.com which allows you to click anywhere on a world map and access local newspapers. Many of them are in English, and if they are not, there is always Google Translator!
Then, for faculty, we have amassed links to recommended sites and portals that we hope will enrich curriculum, such as ipl2: Information You Can Trust and Awesome Library, as well as digital libraries, such as the Library of Congress American History project and John F.Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. We encourage any of you who has personal favorites to share them with the rest of us either by using the Comment box at the bottom of this page or by posting directly on the front page blog. A short statement about how you have used the site will be helpful. Anyone who would like author status in order to post to this site directly should notify us and you will be added.
